What to check before ordering

Sofa listings give three measurements that matter more than the headline size: the overall footprint, the seat depth, and the height to the top of the arm. The last one is the number to check if the sofa will sit under a window or beside a console table.

Seat count is a guide, not a specification. Three adults sitting comfortably need more width than three cushions imply, so compare the total seat width rather than the number of cushions when you are choosing between models.

Upholstery is shown as a swatch photographed under the same light as the product, on every listing that has one, so you are judging the actual fabric rather than a colour-corrected hero shot.
